Die sorting service - very small die |

RDE has been offering a unpublished service for our existing customers, in house die sorting. With our pick and place system, we are able to sort dies as small as .005" by .005" with wafer mapping. Now we are ready to offer it to everybody!

Rickey Denton Enterprises has received a order to build a pick and place sorting system utilizing high magnification inspection on all six sides of small semiconductor devices for delivery in the first quarter of 2008.
This system is designed for inspection and sorting of devices, with the operator making the call on device defects. Handling of the pick and movement into the inspection area are semi-automatic, with the operator inspecting the device top surface before pick. The operator then inspects all sides and bottom of the device to classify the device for automatic placement on the output handler. Wafer maps are updated on the pick side, and created on the output side for defect classifications.
The machine fills a niche market between manual inspection with manual wafer map updates, and fully automatic inspection systems that cost up to a million dollars.

Ammec, based out of Salzburg Austria, has developed the MST-S2000, a fully automatic wire pull and die shear tester. The patten recognition system, will determine the proper pull position on the wire, and allow for the first time to rule out operator selected position which can and do affect actual results. Another feature, is the multiple cartridge design, allowing the machine to be able to test different ranges in wire pull and die shear, without changing and recalibrating cartridges. Wire pull cartridges have 6 axis of force recording angles of pull force from any position.

Foton and 3S Die Attach Support |

This statement recently brought us a challenge by one of our customers, to update their 3S 8015 pick and place software from a windows 95 OS to windows 2000 OS.
RDE was able to update all the drivers, and related 3S software to the customers satisfaction, including many bug fixes that were in the original program!
