This statement recently brought us a challenge by one of our customers, to update their 3S 8015 pick and place software from a windows 95 OS to windows 2000 OS.
RDE was able to update all the drivers, and related 3S software to the customers satisfaction, including many bug fixes that were in the original program!

On an 3S Phoenix 8015 pick and place, with wafer mapping, the customer had problems with the system being able to stay connected to their more modern plant network.
The 3S software was built around the windows 95 operating system, and due to windows 95 networking, was becoming a problem in production.
Working with 3S Phoenix, to secure the source code, we were then able to update the software, to be able to work on Windows 2000 and above. This required replacing hard coded driver code, with system level drivers for the cards used in the system.
The updated system, will provide improved operation of the die bonder, and improved network reliability, providing a win for our customer, and another win for us, proving we can work with OEM's to support equipment for our customers.
Since 3S is no longer in business, we are able to assist in both repair and upgrade of 3S and Foton die attach and pick and place systems.
